ABOUT US

The Jersey Heart Support Group (JHSG) was formed in 2011 by people living with heart conditions. We are registered with the Jersey Charity Commission (no 362) as a (Non-Profit Organisation) and belong to the Association of Jersey Charities.

The group has a common aim to carry on where hospital rehabilitation leaves off and continue to battle against cardiac conditions. Many people participating in rehabilitation experience the benefits of being involved in a group and it is this element the JHSG wishes to extend and develop.

The committee members currently meet once a month and new members and ideas are always welcome.

HERE TO OFFER SUPPORT

We fully appreciate and understand how daunting it can feel to be diagnosed with a heart condition. We are here to provide support and comfort, to answer any questions no matter how trivial they may seem, while providing information to help you move forward and to get the most out of life.

OUR AIMS

To provide continuity to people completing the Stage 3 Cardiac Rehabilitation course
To offer both existing and new members and their partners our ongoing support
To provide members with current thoughts and literature on aftercare for heart patients
To maintain close contact with health officials
To make contact with other local voluntary groups

In addition, we are working towards improving cardiac care for the people of Jersey.
